A Wanted Man by Linda Lael Miller

A Wanted Man (Stone Creek, #2)A Wanted Man by Linda Lael Miller

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very nice read. Smooth, characters well-developed.

All in all, 'A Wanted Man' gave you a real feel like taking a dusty stroll in the ole West while wanting to greet everyone along the way with a 'howdy'. Ms. Millers dialogue between her characters was very fluent and credible, especially between father and son. I loved how Ms. Miller entwined a family, dysfunction at that, and made it work throughout the entire story.

Rowdy Rhodes was a surefooted individual with a gentle, caring nature and that balance is usually hard to weigh. The author created a man who made his mistakes but strove to be a better man not just with himself but through helping others. Lark was sweet and timid, just one would consider a 'prime and proper' lady to be like back in the day. Overall it was a fun read, that left you feeling happier and a little more appreciative of the comforts of home.

If you would like a feel-good read backed by honor, morals and a feel for the ole West, Linda Lael Miller's 'A Wanted Man' is a great choice.

About Me

My Photo
I like to think my novels are overpowered by one thing that we all need to survive, let alone breathe; and that is love -- a touch, an emotion that makes life seemingly bearable and worthwhile. For we all know, in life there is both pleasure and pain but it is in the hurting where we finally acknowledge and appreciate the life given. Every element of who we are is stripped away, exposing what we are truly made of. In the end, we're finally able to find happiness, love, and most importantly, ourselves. It is so basic, so simple, we choose not to see it, or simply can’t.

Accept both pleasure and pain and embrace them.... be mindful however of the one embraced tightly. Make the best of both.

Remember if you veer from that road less traveled, take your dreams, hold tight and press on... no matter how treacherous or tormenting the path may be.
